Sugar Land- Analyze and report on the manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Identify cost variances and investigate the reasons behind them.
- Develop cost models to accurately assess product costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and valuations.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor and control inventory turnover rates to optimize working capital.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs.
- Provide cost-related input to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to manufacturing costs.
- Provide variance analysis and insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support audits and reviews by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
