Payroll Accountant

Type: Full-time, Contract to hire


Salary: $60K/YR+ DOE


Job Description:


Accounting Principals is currently working with a locally reowned company to bring on a payroll accountant. This person will be responsible for supervising the daily workflow and processing activities in a multi-frequency, multi-pay group environment. This role will help support the overall payroll process and review for continuous improvements.


Responsibilities:

  • Processing company payroll and all related taxes
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation
  • Maintains controls and audits to ensure that payrolls are properly calculated
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Provide customer service and continuous improvement
  • Trains and supervise staff to handle payroll queries.
  • Track and reports on all key payroll metrics/performance indicators

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Working knowledge in ADP
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
