RiversideWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Credit & Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team in Riverside. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the credit and collections processes while maintaining positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and proficient in utilizing SAP software. Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, establishing appropriate credit limits and terms to mitigate risk.
Proactively contact customers to manage and expedite collections, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding invoices.
Collaborate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve any disputes or discrepancies, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Reconcile accounts by investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments and account balances.
Keep accurate records of customer interactions, payment details, and account statuses in accordance with established protocols.
Generate regular reports to analyze accounts receivable aging and communicate insights to management for informed decision-making.
Work closely with sales teams, customer service, and other departments to align credit and collections efforts and optimize overall processes.
Utilize SAP software to manage customer accounts, process transactions, and generate necessary reports efficiently.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of credit & collections experience, preferably within manufacturing or distribution
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is Required
Proven experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
Proficiency in SAP software or similar financial management systems is essential.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
Strong analytical skills to assess credit risk and evaluate customer financial information.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to address disputes and issues in a constructive manner.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and evolving business needs.
Prior experience in a hybrid or remote work environment is a plus.
