Logistics Coordinator

Type: Contract to Hire

Hourly Rate: $24 - $26 per hour

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for coordinating and optimizing logistics operations? LHH is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our client's team in Norcross, GA. This is a contract-to-hire position with an hourly rate ranging from $24 to $26 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage logistics operations efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to facilitate smooth transportation and delivery processes.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery status, and address any delays or issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and transactions using relevant software systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Assist in the negotiation of shipping rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers.
• Prepare and distribute necessary shipping documentation and customs paperwork.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance logistics efficiency.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in logistics coordination or related supply chain roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in record-keeping and shipment tracking.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping is a plus.
• Problem-solving aptitude to address logistics challenges and optimize processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in logistics is a bonus.
