Parker + Lynch has partnered with a billion-dollar, privately held company based out of the New York City Metro area and is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Senior Accountant role within the team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with consolidations and a strong general accounting understanding with ability to resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts. The candidate should also have extensive analytical skills, while being able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update bank reconciliations
  • Maintain analysis for assigned income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Produce/post journal entries, including month end accruals, allocations, etc.
  • Develop input sheets and obtain approvals to support wire transfers
  • Perform intercompany analysis/reconciliation by working closely with counterparts at the company’s subsidiaries

  • Required Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles
  • Proficient in booking basic consolidations and journal entries (3-5 acquisitions per year)
  • Comprehension of ERP Systems
  • Mid-level understanding of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years progressive experience in accounting field
  • CPA a plus, but not required
