Staff Accountant (Entertainment Industry)

Position Overview


Leading force in the entertainment industry, dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide, is searching for a skilled Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the continued success of our ventures. You will be responsible for various aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis in the exciting world of entertainment.


Key Responsibilities:


· Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring precision and compliance with industry-specific regulations.


· Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue growth strategies.


· Support accurate and timely financial statements tailored to the unique financial intricacies of the entertainment industry, including revenue recognition, production costs, and licensing agreements.


· Royalty Accounting: Manage royalty calculations, licensing fees, and artist contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations.


· Accounts Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections related to entertainment projects efficiently.


· Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support for external audits, industry-specific compliance requirements, and rights management.


· Entertainment Industry Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of entertainment finance practices to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements and risk management.


Qualifications:


· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


· 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally some experience in the entertainment industry.


· Working knowledge of SAP or Oracle, intermediate to advanced Excel


· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.


· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.


· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
