Order Entry Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Entry Specialist to join our client’s team. The Order Entry Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, from receipt to fulfillment. The ideal candidate is highly focused, possesses excellent data entry skills, and has a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a candidate who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy. This position is located near Itasca, IL. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and review customer orders via various channels, such as email, phone, and online platforms.
  • Accurately enter order information into the company's order management system, ensuring completeness and correctness of all data.
  • Verify pricing, product codes, and quantities to ensure alignment with customer requests and company pricing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment.
  • Maintain open communication with customers regarding order status, delivery dates, and any potential delays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to orders.
  • Process order changes, cancellations, and returns in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, order history, and related documentation.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve the order entry process for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, pricing, and company policies to provide accurate information to customers.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in order entry, data entry, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in using order management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and logistics processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific products and terminology is advantageous.
Job Details:
  • Contract to Hire
  • Monday-Friday first shift, 100% onsite
  • Pay is $20-$25 an hour depending on experience
