LHH Recruitment Solutions formerly Parker & Lynch is partnering with a rapidly growing construction company located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. As a result of a recent expansion and transition to a publicly traded company, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of Accounting and Reporting, particularly related to Heavy Civil construction projects. This is an on-site position that offers an attractive salary package and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.


Responsibilities:



  • Consolidated Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and various departments.


  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying data to provide accurate insights to management.


  • General Ledger Management: Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining accurate records and files, as well as reconciling accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.


  • Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts to maintain financial integrity and identify any discrepancies.


  • Project Accounting: Provide support for project accounting as needed, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and adherence to project budgets.


  • Research and Interpretation: Answer accounting and financial questions by conducting thorough research and interpreting data to assist in decision-making.


  • Special Projects: Offer accounting support for special projects, including reviewing financial information, converting data to the general ledger system, and obtaining additional information when required.


  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial data to protect the organization's value and reputation.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred, although candidates with degrees in Finance or Business will also be considered.


  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for experience in project and cost accounting.


  • Previous experience working for a publicly traded company is a plus.


Salary and Benefits:



  • Medical, Dental, Vision, unlimited PTO and retirement


  • Salary of $75-85K.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 PER YEAR
