Litigation Paralegal
LHH has partnered with a growing law firm in Manhattan Beach in seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses keen attention to detail, is highly organized, maintains a positive can-do attitude, and is eager to join our team for the long term with ample room for professional growth. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys, management, and other office staff. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of legal and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule client meetings, both in-person and telephonically.
Assist in managing the office filing system, both hard copies and electronically, with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
Draft and review legal documents and correspondence.
Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely processing of legal documents.
Maintain and update the office calendar with key events.
Arrange remote appearances for court hearings via LACourtConnect and CourtCall.
Prepare and organize documents and files for attorneys ahead of court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings.
Ensure the office maintains a professional appearance for clients, depositions, mediations, etc.
Craft correspondence letters and manage mailings.
Contribute to various projects as directed by management.
Skills & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a Law Office as a Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Advanced administrative and organizational skills.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
Professionalism: Ability to work in a professional environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, including remaining calm and efficient during stressful situations.
Confidentiality: Maintain confidential information in strict confidence.
Communication: Clear, concise, and accurate communication in response to all requests for assistance.
Team Player: A strong desire to work collaboratively as a team player.
Growth Mindset: An aspiration to learn and grow professionally.
Litigation Experience: Previous litigation experience is preferred.
Education: High School Education required; advanced degree preferred.
