LHH is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill a temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position for one of our long-term clients based in Cleveland, Ohio. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely collection of payments from our clients. The ideal candidate would have proven accounts receivable experience, experience working with ERP systems, and excellent customer service skills.

\nWhat to expect from this role:\n\n

  • Prepare and process invoices accurately and efficiently based on sales orders, contracts, or other relevant documentation.
    • \n
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of information such as prices, quantities, discounts, and payment terms.
    • \n
  • Maintain records of all customer billing activities, including invoicing, credit memos, adjustments, and refunds.
    • \n
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
    • \n
  • Receive and post customer payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic funds transfers.
    • \n
  • Allocate payments to appropriate accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • \n
  • Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
    • \n
  • Investigate and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies by coordinating with internal departments and customers.
    • \n
  • Monitor and track overdue accounts and contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to remind them of outstanding payments and facilitate timely collections.
    • \n
  • Maintain a professional and customer-centric approach during all interactions.
    • \n
  • Assist in generating accounts receivable reports and summaries to provide accurate information on outstanding balances, collections, and payment trends.
    • \n
  • Maintain well-organized records and documentation related to accounts receivable transactions and communications.
    • \n\nQualifications:\n\n\n
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or similar finance role is highly desirable.
    • \n
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
    • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
    • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • \n
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
    • \n
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
