Overview: We're seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Specialist to join our client’s team, playing a pivotal role in managing their open enrollment process and employee benefits programs. In this contract position, you will handle the day-to-day administration of benefits, ensuring their alignment with company values and legal requirements. Your expertise will contribute to creating a positive employee experience and promoting a culture of well-being.
Role Overview: As the Employee Benefits Specialist, your core responsibility will be to oversee the practical aspects of our benefits programs. You'll collaborate closely with HR and the Communications Manager to communicate benefit details during open enrollment, as well as to new hires and provide ongoing education to employees. Your insights and operational skills will be crucial in maintaining a smooth benefits administration process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Benefits Administration: Manage the daily operations of various benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and wellness incentives.
· Compliance: Ensure all benefit plans adhere to legal regulations and internal policies, maintaining the integrity of our offerings.
· Auditing and Reporting: Support audits of employee benefit plans, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to leave administration regulations.
· Communication: Assist in conveying benefit programs to new employees and communicate changes or updates to the broader team.
· Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reducing manual processes and increasing employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:
· Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in benefits administration or coordination.
· Program Knowledge: Familiarity with various employee benefit programs and calculating total rewards.
· Accounting Acumen: Basic understanding of accounting principles for reconciling vendor invoices.
· Skills: Strong time-management skills, effective written and verbal communication, collaborative nature, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Schedule:
· Pay: $35-$40/hr based on experience.
· Office Schedule: This is a contract role that will require On-site presence required Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
