PURCHASING ASSISTANT


Ajilon is working with a manufacturing company in Bridgeton, NJ that is looking to hire a Purchasing Assistant. The role will be completely in office Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM (40 hours a week). Part time hours (30/week minimum) are an option as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating, planning and executing procurement of finished goods and raw material
  • Developing a production schedule and completion dates to ensure deadlines are met
  • Communicating with suppliers to confirm shipping schedules
  • Monitoring open purchase orders to ensure on time deliveries
  • Analyzing daily, weekly and yearly usage
  • Following up with vendors regarding upcoming due dates
  • Resolving issues with suppliers pertaining to pricing, contract terms and/or delivery dates
  • Reporting productivity delays and material stock issues
  • Maintaining suppler lists, prices, lead times and min/max order quantities
  • Monitoring inventory levels to plan material replenishment

  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of corporate purchasing or buying experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (charts, tables, formulas)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
