Position Overview: As a Benefits Specialist, you will be an integral part of the HR team, playing a key role in administering and enhancing employee benefits programs. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, providing you with the opportunity to showcase your expertise and potentially transition to a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollment, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with external benefit providers to ensure accurate data transmission and compliance.
- Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and facilitate open enrollment processes.
- Maintain benefits records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to make recommendations for program enhancements.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to benefits utilization and costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Benefits Specialist or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs and compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in benefits administration software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- HR certifications (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
