LHH is working with a non-profit organization to fill a Staff Accountant role in Albuquerque, NM. Our client is growing and adding this role to their accounting team. You will be able to work directly with the VP of Accounting and help in the day to day accounting functions. To be considered for this role you will need to have a minimum of two years of experience with general ledger and journal entries, account reconciliations, month end close, and ad hoc projects. If you enjoy the ability to grow and share new ideas and have the authority to create new processes, this is the role for you. The Staff Accountant role is a direct hire offering $60k.
What you will be doing:
Assist in all phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, cash planning, and the closing process
Reconcile and prepare journal entries daily for cash and bank statement activity
Review and prepare journal entries for corporate expense reports and credit card spend
Reconcile and prepare journal entries for prepaid and accrual expense amortization
Prepare daily P&L and balance sheet account reconciliations for critical accounts
Collaborate with management to ensure a complete and accurate month-end close
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
The ideal candidate will need:
BS in Accounting
2+ years of accounting experience preferably in a non-profit environment
Solid computer skills with a large ERP system and Excel
Pay Details: $68,000.00 to $70,000.00 PER YEAR
