We are looking for an Accountant to join one of our clients in Woodstock, IL! This is a temp to hire position and the clients need someone to start ASAP. To qualify, you must have grant management experience. This role is on site for training then will be a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days from home). Apply now!


Responsibilities

  • Oversight of day-to-day miscellaneous receivables billing, and collection activities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reports
  • Reviews, proposes, and implements resolutions to, internal and external auditor findings
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for the operation of grant accounting
  • Analyze various grantor revenue and expenditure reports
  • Provide oversight in the preparation and monitoring of organizational as well as departmental grant budgets
  • Prepare audit worksheets, schedules, reports and supporting documentation
  • Prepares and enters adjusting entries, year-end closing entries and other journal entries as required
  • Assists with the annual audit and budget process

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience including customer service, state and federal grant management, finance and/or accounting department
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Finance Officers preferred or to obtain within the first year of employment with the County
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
