Contract Litigation Attorney



LHH is working with an international company in seeking an engaged and skilled legal professional to fill the role of Litigation Attorney on a contract assignment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the insurance defense process, from investigation and discovery to trial preparation and court proceedings. Your expertise will be crucial in representing clients in various legal settings, including depositions, site inspections, court hearings, trials, and negotiations for settlements.



Responsibilities:



  • Manage the complete legal process, from investigation and discovery to trial preparation and court proceedings.


  • Represent clients in depositions, site inspections, court hearings, trials, negotiations for settlements, and other legal proceedings.


  • Develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and findings.


  • Collaborate with claims representatives and insured clients, sharing well-researched legal strategies and opinions.


  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with claims representatives and clients, occasionally conducting training sessions for different departments.


  • Create clear and unambiguous legal opinions, strategies, and legal documents, including pleadings and motions.


  • Provide guidance and direction to junior attorneys as needed, and contribute to training sessions for legal and claims departments.


  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues located remotely.



Qualifications:



  • Membership in the California Bar


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.


  • Possession of appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts is preferred.


  • 1-3 years of successful experience as an attorney, with a focus on insurance defense.


  • Talent for establishing strong working relationships with internal and external partners.


  • Exceptional detail-oriented and analytical thinking skills.


  • Persuasive oral and written communication skills.

Salary Range and Benefits:



  • $45 to $65 per hour



Position Type:



  • Full-time, Remote, Contract (3 Month Assignment)

Pay Details: $45.00 to $65.00 PER HOUR
