Accounting Assistant


Position requires in-office work in Paramus, NJ



LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a CPA firm to fill a temporary Accounting Assistant position in Paramus, NJ. This position has the potential to evolve into a permanent role for the right candidate! This position is a great "foot-in-the door" into a growing CPA firm. Please read on for additional details.



Daily Responsibilities:



  • Working with Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure incoming invoices have purchase orders attached and are properly coded


  • Assisting with outbound payment preparation


  • Performing account reconciliation and bank statement reconciliation


  • Managing any ad-hoc accounting related projects as they are assigned



Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred



Experience Requirements:



  • 3+ months of experience in any operational accounting function (AP, AR, Billing, Tax)


  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)



Employment Type: Contract, full-time hours (37.5 hour work week)



Work hours: 9-5:30 pm and occasional OT
