This role would be part of a privately owned and dynamic company located in the heart of Oklahoma City. As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles.
· Record financial transactions by entering account information, managing debits and credits, and maintaining supporting documentation.
· Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and analysis of accounts.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide support for various accounting projects.
· Assist in tracking and managing company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
· Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a math-related field (e.g., Mathematics, Accounting, Economics).
· Basic understanding of debits and credits, financial statements, and accounting principles.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
