LHH is assisting a prestigious not for profit with searching for a Director of Accounting. Position is hybrid in NYC. Ideal candidate will have extensive not for profit and supervisory experience.

Salary: 200k to 225k

Vaccination required.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Direct all financial functions for the company, including audits, tax filings and risk management

• 
  

  Manage all accounting operations including GL, A/R (including Credit), A/P, Cash, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets

• 
  

  Oversee preparation of financial statements, including inter-company eliminations, associated flux analyses, as well as other analyses in support of performance assessment.

• 
  

  Prepares management reporting, including financial statements and variance analysis

• 
  

  Prepare, manage and lead efforts related to the Company’s annual audits (including A133)

• 
  

  Assist in the development of the annual budget and forecasting process, including analysis and interpretation of financial trends.

• 
  

  Assist the CFO in preparation and presentation of financial information and materials to the Board of Directors and the Audit and Finance Committee.

• 
  

  Continually develop and mentor staff members

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

• 
  

  15+ years in the non-profit sector

• 
  

  5+ years experience leading a staff

• 
  

  Excellent presentation and communication skills
