Our client in the NY area is looking for a benefits specialist responsible for administration of all benefits and retirement programs.


Responsibilities

  • Manage benefit enrollments for all new hires
  • Research, analyze and administer healthcare plans and wellness programs
  • Process paperwork for disability, employee life changes, and FMLA
  • Communicate with insurance and saving providers to resolve issues
  • Keep upto-date records of each employee’s benefits profile
  • Handles all QMCSO and ADRO requests
  • Ensures the company’s benefits and leave of absence policies comply with the law
  • Meet with employees interested in retirement to go over benefit entitlements and conduct exit interviews
  • Lead trainings as needed on HR related topics
  • Meet with employees in person for any employee relations needs
  • Performs additional duties as required

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience handling benefit plan administration
  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL, ADA and other state requirements
  • CEBS or other HR related certifications

  • Skills

  • Extremely organized
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Proficiency with excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
