LHH is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our clients team located in Indianapolis, IN. As a Logistics Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our logistics department by assisting with administrative tasks and ensuring efficient coordination of shipments and deliveries. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for logistics. Job Details:
  • 6 month contract
  • $18-$21hr
  • Indianapolis, IN - 100% onsite
  • M-F 8-5p
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
  • Track and monitor shipment status and provide updates to relevant parties.
  • Communicate and coordinate with freight carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and logistics activities.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming goods.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including lost or damaged items.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs.
  • Support other administrative tasks within the logistics department, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling paperwork and data entry.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, including shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 PER HOUR
