Patient Access Representative LHH is seeking a Patient Access Rep for a contract to hire position in the Flint, MI area. The ideal candidate will have traditional medical office experience and be available immediately. This is a full-time position and requires you to come into the office full-time. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently, verifying insurance information and demographic details.
  • Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Collect patient co-payments and provide financial counseling when necessary.
  • Ensure all necessary forms and consents are completed and signed by the patient.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.
  • Resolve patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient registration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data entry.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with good problem-solving skills.
Hourly Pay: $15/hr - $17/hr Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria. Pay Details: $15.00 to $17.00 PER HOUR
