LHH is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract position in Arlington, Texas.

Position Overview: As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. You'll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, verifying expenses, and ensuring that payments are made in a timely and accurate manner. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.


Responsibilities:



  • Process invoices, matching them with purchase orders and verifying accuracy.


  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies as needed.


  • Prepare and process payments through various methods, including checks and electronic transfers.


  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and interactions.


  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and approval for expenses.


  • Assist with month-end closing activities and contribute to financial reporting as required.


  • Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive relationships with suppliers.


  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.


  • Proven experience (2+ years) in accounts payable or related financial role.


  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).


  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.


  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.


  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.


Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week Employment Type: Contract/Temporary Estimated Hourly Rate: $17-21
