Accounting Principals has partnered with a well-known Dallas, TX Construction Company to hire a Senior Accountant for a 3-4 month contract assignment that pays up to $30hr. The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience, SAGE 300 software and 5-8 years on accounting experience.


Positions Details:

  • Extensive knowledge of Sage 300 construction integrated job cost and general ledger software accounting system as well as a working knowledge of construction management software, Procore
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other accounting analysis that may be required by management
  • Technical accounting proficiency and knowledge of GAAP is essential
  • Expertise in general ledger and job cost accounting month-end close and financial statement preparation, including work-in-process reports
  • Ability to successfully manage staff providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and guidance
  • Ability to delegate tasks to ensure all staff are working effectively and efficiently and at their highest and best use for the organization
  • Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment including operations and accounting
  • Ability to manage through conflict, complexity and to problem-solve issues to resolution
  • Ability to comfortably communicate, both verbally in presentation and conversation, and written in correspondence to staff, senior and executive management, project management, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and auditors
  • Experience in preparation of budgets, forecasts, projections and pro formas with the ability to perform analytical analysis relevant to company operations
  • Disciplined professional, with strong morals and ethics and proven credibility within and outside of the company
  • Trustworthy
  • Team player with demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
