Special Counsel is recruiting a Business Immigration Paralegal for the Cleveland, Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati,Columbus, Costa Mesa, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, or Wilmington offices of a national law firm. This position is 100% remote, as long as candidates reside in one of the above-mentioned cities. This is a 4-6 month assignment, with the possibility of conversion to hire once the temporary period ends


Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support attorney in the preparation and filing of immigration applications, including IV visa petitions/applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, including PERMs, Preference Petitions and Adjustment of Status Applications
  • Assist and support attorney in the preparation and filing of NIV applications, including H-1B, TN, L-1B, L-1A, E-2, and E-3
  • Analyze, review and organize documents and data from materials produced; and, prepare/coordinate document production and responses to requests for evidence
  • Assist attorney with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in the Immigration Court
  • Analyze and review case details to determine future actions
  • Prepare responses to PERM audit requests
