LHH is looking for a Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer for a direct hire job opportunity in Charlotte, NC! The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of commercial buildings, identifying maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and carpentry work.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Respond promptly to tenant requests for maintenance or repairs, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain the building's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, equipment installations, and major renovations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Conduct regular equipment and system tests to identify and address any malfunctions or potential issues.
Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to commercial building maintenance.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, including hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
Effective communication skills to interact with tenants, contractors, and team members.
Yardi software system experience preferred
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Knowledge of energy management systems and energy efficiency practices is a plus.
