An exciting opportunity has emerged for a temporary Out Of London Discharge Homelessness Officer to work on an ambitious flagship Move-On project at one of our largest Local Authority clients in London. This is a project designed to create new pathways into Housing for homeless applicants on the Council's housing register.
Based in East London, our client is looking for a detail orientated individual with a solid knowledge of Housing/Homeless Legislation, the localism act and a background in reviews or discharge of duty.
Other key attributes or experience desired by our client is:
* Excellent knowledge of current Housing Options practice in the public sector and extensive knowledge of homelessness legislation.
* Candidates who are deeply investigative by nature, policy writing, policy application and review work.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Can adapt quickly to regularly changing working practice whilst the project both moves forward and develops at the same time.
* Good IT skills are important, as are resilient and advanced communication skills.
* Knowledge of sales, influence and coaching are desirable, as the role will involve some difficult conversations.
