    A well known global financial services company is seeking a Specialist Corporate Governance / Board Support Paralegal, to join their legal team based in Brussels.


    This is a 3-6 month interim position and will report directly to the Company Secretary.


    As Specialist, Corporate Governance / Board Support you will be part of the EMEA office with responsibility for the Belgium and Luxembourg entities, in particular ensuring that the business complies with statutory, regulatory and governance requirements.


    Responsibilities:


    *Organise and provide necessary support to the Company Secretary for the preparation of board and executive committee meetings, including preparing agendas, collating and circulating board/executive committee papers.


    *Provide guidance to the directors and management on corporate governance requirements.


    *Maintain and update the statutory records, ensuring filing of annual returns, financial statements and statutory returns.


    *Assist in reviewing, negotiation and approving documentations such as powers of attorney and letters of representation.


    *Complete miscellaneous company secretarial task and other ad hoc enquires


    To be considered for this role you must hold a minimum of a law degree and have 5 years* experience as a paralegal or corporate secretary within a financial services environment. You will need to be fluent in English, highly organised and have excellent writing skills.


    This role can be based out of either the Brussels or Luxembourg office.
