Communications Regeneration Manager
A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Communication Regeneration to join one of our largest Local Authority clients in a temporary assignment for three months initially (with every possibility of an extension should the successful candidate perform well).
This is a full time role (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the client is keen to recruit a candidate with knowledge of/experience of:
To lead and manage all regeneration communications for the council, including:
*Supporting Chief Officers and Lead Members in the effective development and delivery of key regeneration activities within the overall regeneration programme.
*The development and implementation of an overall communications strategy for the council's regeneration programme.
*Overseeing key consultation and engagement activities with stakeholders and partners.
*Overall co-ordination of the Council's participation in key regeneration events including MIPIM.
*The development and implementation of effective branding to support the Council's regeneration programme.
*The production of key publications and a range of marketing material to explain and promote the Council's regeneration activities.
*The management of digital channels to effectively engage with key audiences.
*To successfully promote the borough through proactive media relations, placing regeneration focussed news and feature stories in targeted media as well as responding to any negative media coverage.
*Working in close collaboration with the wider communications team to ensure the council's regeneration work is effectively communicated as one of the council's key priorities.
*To attend key regeneration meetings internally and with key external partners and stakeholders, providing strategic advice on key issues.
*To find solutions to complex communications challenges.
The post holder reports to: Deputy Head of Communications (Media and Campaigns) and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Assistant Director for Communications and to the Director of Regeneration.
The post holder will be required to work outside 'normal' office hours / as required by their line manager up to 36 hours per week, including taking part in the on-call rota.
The post holder has Financial/Resources responsibility for regeneration campaign budgets of up to circa £100k.
